A Very Happy Easter Prayer written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrated by Natalia Moore review and GIVEAWAY

Bonnie Rickner Jensen and Natalie Moore have teamed up once again with another hit that you will want in your nursery.  A Very Happy Easter Prayer is a sweet snuggle up read.  It is full of spring and sunshine, an adorable family of rabbits, and a simple prayer to our creator God.  It is overcast, snowy, and dreary here in Missoula, Montana and my heart is grateful for the refreshing ray of sunshine that A Very Happy Easter Prayer has brought into my day.

Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God & Science by Louie Giglio review and giveaway

Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God & Science is a wonderful homeschool resource.  It is not so much a devotional as it is a book that shares some interesting tidbits of science and then relates how God's indescribable imagination, creativity, and scripture relate to the science.  This book is the very first thing that my kids ask for as we begin a school day.  They look forward to it.  They are excited about it!

One Christmas Bear written and illustrated by Anne Vittur Kennedy review and giveaway

It is so hard for me to resist a children's book!  They are just so colorful and fun.  One Christmas Bear is no exception.  This board book is cut out along the top and right-hand side making it stand out; add the multi-dimensional front with a glitter-like texture and your child's attention will surely be drawn to One Christmas Bear.  I do want to emphasize that the cover has a glitter-like texture.  It isn't actually made of glitter, so I don't believe that you need worry if your adorable little one puts the book straight into their mouth.  Reinforcing early learning skills, One Christmas Bear is a counting book.  As the story moves from 1 - 10 there are more and more adorable rhyming animal antics at Christmastime.

I’m Not A Scaredy Cat: A Prayer for When You Wish You Were Brave by Max Lucado review and giveaway

Max Lucado's book, I'm Not A Scaredy-Cat, is written in rhyming verse and is filled with misadventures that express the kitty's fear in humorous ways.  These fearful moments in kitty's life will not scare your child, yet they will get the point across.  After a few frightening misadventures, Lucado provides a prayer of reassurance meant to encourage your child to reach out to God for peace in frightening situations.

A Very Thankful Prayer written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrated by Natalia Moore review and GIVEAWAY

I have loved all three of the children's board books that I have read and reviewed by Bonnie Rickner Jensen to date.  I pray that there are many more coming.  My kids have loved them too (including my 18-year-old!).  My family and I have given each of them a solid 5-star rating.  The board books are just so God-honoring, sweetly written, and down-right adorable.  A Very Thankful Prayer is no exception.  A perfect book to snuggle up with your toddler, or your teen, to read during the Thanksgiving season.  And who says it just has to be at Thanksgiving... we can enjoy it all throughout the year.

God Loves Daddy & Me written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrated by Laura Watkins

God Loves Daddy & Me and it’s companion book God Loves Mommy & Me just bring a smile to my face.  God Loves Daddy & Me points out positive attributes of a God honoring father loving his child as THE Father loves them both.  Laura Watkins’ illustrations bring such light and adorableness to the story.  The raccoon daddy and child are so cute!  You’ll love that the child is not stated as being male or female so daddy and son or daddy and daughter work equally well.

You Carried Me by Melissa Ohden book review and giveaway

Melissa Ohden’s story is tragic only in the sense that she was intended to be aborted and that she had to struggle through the heartbreak of that intent.  In every other way her story soars as a living testimony to the majesty and glory of the Almighty God.  God’s plan so far has included her surviving a saline abortion without any physical effects, He had her taken to the NICU by a sympathetic nurse rather than cast aside as trash, He provided her with an incredibly loving Christian family to adopt her, and He helped her to achieve her dream of reunification with a portion of her birth family.  Most importantly, He has helped her to use her story to help other abortion survivors, those finding themselves in a crisis pregnancy, and those men and women who are suffering through the guilt, shame, and loss due to their decision to have an abortion.

Silly Elephant: Peace with Bees by Nadh Poduri - book review and GIVEAWAY!

Peace with Bees is such a brightly colored, beautify illustrated book.  It draws you right in.  The elephants are adorable but I absolutely love the bees and how Poduri has them experiencing miscommunication, like that you find when playing the telephone game.  So funny.  Another personal favorite part of the story is when Poduri uses one of my mom’s oft used sayings to help get across a moral point.  “Two wrongs don’t make a right!”
