Never think though that because this is steampunk/fantasy, which is typically escapist fiction, that Buroker is lacking classic writing skills. She has the chops. This is escapism at its best and you still obtain a bit of education along the way.

Raptor by Lindsay Buroker

Raptor is full of dragons, magic, cave-ins, crazy exploits, and non-stop humor and action. It is also filled with some real physical and emotional pain, fears, and misplaced guilt which make the characters real. All said, you really should read Raptor just to find out what happens to the sofa.

I cannot express the honor and privilege that I feel to be a part of the Thomas Locke advance team. God orchestrates some of the kindest, most gracious, joy-filled opportunities for His disciples. I pray that my writing will do justice to this and all of the books that I feel so blessed to read. There are incredibly talented writers, both classic and modern, that are well worth the time to read. Sometimes it takes a little digging but I find that it is always worth it; Thomas Locke stands as one of my favorites.
