the best of 2016

I have read a lot of incredible books in 2016.  I feel so blessed to have this platform to share my favorites with you.  These five books are hard to rank.

Archie of Outlandish by Lynnette Kraft and The Girl From the Train by Irma Joubert are books that are distinctly unique (is that a tautology?).  Both of these books are in genres that I don't read frequently, but they both captured my attention and imagination.  I LOVE them!  Incredible storytelling.  Therefore, I placed these two books in first and second place.

Now the next three books are from one of my all-time favorite author Davis Bunn, who also writes under the pseudonym Thomas Locke. I cannot place the three books in any order as I love each of them equally.  They are all in completely different genres but that is part of my fascination with Davis Bunn - he is incredibly talented and can write brilliantly on so many topics.  (Feel free to insert all kinds of envious emotions on my part here.) FYI, Flash Point is the second book in the Fault Lines series and Merchant of Alyss is the second book in the Legends of the Realm series.  I would recommend that you read the first books before moving on to these.  They were five-star books for me in 2015.

I pray that you will pick up one of these books, or even better yet, all five and find your new favorite!
