Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren

I'm bringing you another oldie but goodie review from my Goodreads page.  I wrote this review in 2015 after I had first read the book.  I have more recently listened to the audio version of the first three books, Waterfall, Cascade, and Torrent.  I enjoyed the books this time around as much as I had the first time.  And while I did find that the narrator for the audiobooks was incredibly talented, I struggled with the audiobook.  Primarily because I am not a teenage girl.  When reading, I can mentally skip over the more juvenile aspects of the story (these are not negative aspects... a teenaged girl is the target audience for these books).  When listening I can't and so those aspects stand out even more to me.  Anyway...

Rich in Love: When God Rescues Messy People by Irene Garcia and Lissa Halls Johnson

I was reminded of this book that I reviewed on Goodreads in 2014 today when someone "liked" my review. Due to the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision on January 22, 1973 (44 years ago), many people set aside January as a month to look at the value of human life.  That of the unborn as well as that of the elderly and ill.  Abortion and euthanasia... big topics.  Adoption is a beautiful outcome for many of the children whose birth parents choose life.  While Rich in Love isn't a story about a human's right to life per se, it is a biographical account of life.  Of life altered by a salvific God.  Of a family brought together through God's pleasure.  On to the original review...
