A list of characters in the Dragon Blood series by Lindsay Buroker

WARNING: descriptions contain spoilers!

Lieutenant Caslin Ahn

Ahn is a fighter pilot with the Wolf Squadron; Colonel Zirkander's protégé.  She is also a tiny but mighty assassin trained sharpshooter carrying a load of guilt.

Lieutenant Wasley "Duck" Antilon

Duck is an almost overly tall pilot. He has big ears, big feet, and a big grin that he always struggles to rein in.  He is in his mid-twenties and he still seems more of a kid than an officer.

Duck has mad foraging and survival skills.

Lieutenant Apex

Lieutenant Apex came to the military later than usual, in his early thirties, after finishing eight years of university classes and two years studying fossils in the field before his hometown of Tanglewood was destroyed by pirates. More specifically, by Deathmaker's biological agent.

Is he a leader or cannon fodder?

Tolemek “Deathmaker” Argoson

Part warrior and part scientist, Tolemek “Deathmaker” Argoson has not only slain thousands with his deadly concoctions, but he has a special loathing for Iskandian pilots.

Colonel Zirkander, who ruined his military career, has forced him to leave his country in shame and join a pirate organization. Years later, he uses his dreadful reputation like a shield to keep people away; all he wants is to be left alone to work in his laboratory.

Tolemek is a dreadlocks wearing, mad scientist, ex-pirate who is hated by most, feared by everyone smart, and yet lovable at the same time.

Tylie Argoson

Tolemek's missing sister. The last time he saw her, their father had locked her in an asylum because of a mental illness with no cure.

She is an innocent, childlike, dragon-loving sorceress in training.

Captain Astuawilda Kaika

Captain Astuawilda Kaika is an elite forces soldier, a demolitions expert, and a woman who loves secret missions. She is not a woman with patience.

King Angulus Masonwood

Sardelle Terushan

Sardelle Terushan wakes from three hundred years in a mage stasis shelter, only to realize that she is the last of the Referatu, the sorcerers who once helped protect Iskandia from conquerors.  She is a mysterious and enigmatic woman; a sorceress and healer with a chatty sentient soulblade.  She is also confident, wise, powerful, and she exudes benevolence in her power.

Colonel Vann Therrik

Therrik is a fierce officer with the temperament of a crabby badger.  He is under punishment by the king and has been sent out to supervise hardened criminals at the secret and remote Magroth Crystal Mines. Needless to say, this doesn't help his crabby disposition.

Colonel Ridge Zirkander

Colonel Ridge Zirkander isn’t the model of military professionalism—he has a tendency to say exactly what’s on his mind, and his record has enough demerits to wallpaper the hull of an airship—but he is the best fighter pilot in the Iskandian army and a national hero.  Colonel Ridge Zirkander is a man whom everybody notices, including the king.

Professor Lilah Zirkander

Lilah is a bookish paleontologist with a love for mysteries. Yes, she’s related to the famous pilot, and no, she can’t get him to autograph your undergarments.

The Dragons

Bhrava Saruth (a gold dragon)

Character Interview: Interview with the Dragon Who Thinks He’s a God (Bhrava Saruth)

Morishtomaric (a silver dragon)

Morishtomaric has questionable judgement and is attached to Tylie, the sorceress in training.

The Soulblades

Sardelle's soulblade.  She'll keep you out of trouble and keep you scratching your head in wonder at her wit as she does it.
